About
our company
Hi, I’m Ryan Stubbs, the owner and craftsman behind Summit County Handyman LLC. I started this business because I love the challenge of taking a messy mudroom, a cluttered closet, or an outdated kitchen and turning it into a perfectly organized, beautiful sanctuary. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or cheap, flimsy materials. When you work with me, you’re dealing directly with the person who designs, builds, and installs your cabinetry. I treat your home like my own, bringing precise craftsmanship and an obsessive eye for detail to every cut and install. Let’s build something incredible together.
Your Questions, Answered

Most large cabinet companies are set up for high-volume, full-scale renovations. Because of their high overhead—think showrooms, sales staff, and large factory teams—they often have strict project minimums (sometimes $10,000 to $20,000) just to get on their calendar.
Working with me is different for a few key reasons:
No "Minimum Order" Requirements: Whether you need a full set of kitchen cabinets or just a single custom mudroom bench and a few coat hooks, your project is a priority for me. I specialize in the "small but significant" jobs that the big guys often turn down.
Direct Accountability: From the first measurement to the final screw, you are dealing directly with the owner and craftsman. There’s no "sales rep" to "installer" game of telephone—I know every detail of your project because I’m the one building it.
Multi-Trade Efficiency: A big cabinet shop only does wood. If your new built-in needs a light fixture moved or your new vanity needs a faucet hooked up, they’ll tell you to call a plumber or electrician. Because I offer light electrical and plumbing services, I can often handle those details myself, saving you the hassle of hiring three different people for one small project.
Precision Over Production: Large shops are about speed; I’m about quality. I take the extra time to ensure your cabinetry fits the unique lines of your home perfectly, providing a seamless "built-in" look that mass-produced cabinets can't match.

While I specialize in custom kitchens, closets, and mudrooms, I also provide professional handyman services for those smaller "to-do" list items. This includes:
Light Electrical: Swapping out light fixtures, installing ceiling fans, or updating outlets and switches.
Light Plumbing: Replacing faucets, installing new sinks, or fixing minor leaks.
The "Total Package": Because I handle both, I can often manage the plumbing and electrical disconnections and reconnections required during a cabinetry install, saving you the money and hassle of hiring extra contractors.

I focus on repair, replacement, and installation. I am perfect for "refresh" projects—updating fixtures, fixing leaks, or installing new storage solutions. For major structural changes, full-house repiping, or main electrical panel upgrades, I recommend hiring a specialized licensed contractor for those specific trades.
-
Handyman Services: Smaller electrical or plumbing jobs can often be scheduled and completed within a single visit.
Custom Cabinetry: These projects involve a design phase (~1 week), a fabrication phase (4–6 weeks), and an on-site installation phase (1–5 days).
-
I tailor our billing to the size of the job:
Handyman Services: For smaller repairs and fixture installs, payment is typically due in full upon completion of the work.
Custom Cabinetry: I require a 50% deposit upon signing to secure materials and your spot on our schedule. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the install.

Yes. I carry full general liability insurance to protect your home and my company. I believe in doing the job right the first time, but I also believe in being prepared for the unexpected.
-
Absolutely. I stand by my craftsmanship. I offer a 1-year warranty on all installation labor, whether it’s a full kitchen build or a simple faucet replacement.
